A focus timer that reminds you to look up and stand up.

Set a sprint, then let it nudge you to rest your eyes, reset your posture, and move, so a long work session doesn't leave your body wrecked.

· Coach's note ·

Most timers just count down and leave your body out of it. This one schedules the small stuff for you: an eye reset every 20 minutes, a posture check every 45, a real move every 90. Do that and you can finish a three-hour session without the usual ache. The secret is the interruption, not your willpower.

The science behind it

Your eyes have one muscle (the ciliary) doing the same close-up job for hours. The 20-20-20 rule gives it a break and lets your blink rate recover; people blink about half as often at a screen, which is most of why eyes feel gritty by 5pm. Meanwhile your body is built to move every so often, not sit still for three hours.

Work runs in roughly 90-minute ultradian cycles. Forcing a short reset at the natural dip (rather than pushing through) keeps attention steadier than grinding non-stop. The point isn't more discipline, it's building the pause into the timer so you don't have to remember.

Wellness Focus Timer, answered

Look 20 feet away for 20 seconds every 20 minutes to ease eye strain, and stand or stretch every 45–90 minutes so your back and hips don't lock up. This timer runs both for you.
