Walk steps, earn your scroll time.
Drop in your daily steps and see the scroll time you've banked. Make movement the thing that pays for the feed instead of the thing you skip.
I'm not going to tell you to drop the phone and touch grass. I'll connect the two. When steps earn your scroll, walking stops being a chore and becomes the thing that buys your evening. That's the whole StepScroll logic, and it works because the reward feels fair.
Week earned: 0h 0m of screen time from walking.
Everything stays on your device. Take your streaks and history with you.
The science behind it
Behavioral economics calls this 'earmarking': tying a treat to a behavior changes how both feel. When screen time costs steps, the feed stops being free and the walk stops being a tax. People stick with systems where the reward is contingent, not random.
There's also a timing trick: doing movement before leisure makes the leisure feel earned, which the brain enjoys more. The calculator just makes the exchange explicit so you can set a ratio your own week can actually support.
Steps to Screen Time, answered
Your call. A fair starting point is 1,000 steps buys 15 minutes of scroll. Set the ratio so the reward feels earned but not punishing for your day.
